As the celebrations reach their crescendo, the citizens of Lahore can anticipate a mesmerizing firework spectacle on the stroke of midnight, August 14, 2023, at the Kalma Chowk CBD Punjab project site. This awe-inspiring display promises to be a fitting tribute to the courage, sacrifices, and unity that led to the birth of Pakistan. Moreover, a special cake-cutting and flag-hoisting ceremony will take place at CBD Punjab House on August 14, 2023, signifying the jubilant culmination of these celebrations.

Beaconhouse saves 3,083 tonnes in carbon emissions, from successfully running 40 facilities on solar energy

Beaconhouse Group, Pakistan’s largest network of private educational institutions and a host of diverse businesses, is successfully running 40 of the network’s facilities on solar energy. Students of 26 Beaconhouse campuses that have been installed with solar panels also conducted research projects on solar energy’s impact on reducing harmful air pollution, use of non-renewable energy, and cutting electricity costs. The grade 8 student research projects explored significant controllable factors that improve the performance of photovoltaic panels, and saw participation from approximately 1,800 students.
